Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

4 more rows on the arm warmers, no time tonight for more than that, other things to do.

I do have 40 pansy plants I've been given for Easter to put in my garden patch once I've dug the weeds out though!

Did some TV knitting on my sock XD I’m to the toe now, so it’ll be complete in a couple of more sessions. (We watch very little TV. 1 or 2 episodes of something a week, and sometimes go months or weeks with nothing at all.)

So do I. I wanted some last year, but all I could find were a few little violas. Pretty, but not the same.

Yay for sock progress! Is this the second of a pair or the first? I can never remember.

I like having the TV on for a few hours in the evenings as sort of background noise. I half watch while doing other things. But I live alone, so it's sort of company.

Hooray for sock progress. I've watched hardly any TV recently, which would have been bad for my knitting progress if I hadn't got more into audiobooks.

Not every craft kit is a winner. I did an Easter egg ornament with quick drying clay but the bric-a-brac decorations didn't stick and the ones that did are rhinestones and mini-tribble looking things. There were three colours of clay but my sons took the other colours and just made balls and tried to hit each other with them. :/ So, you know, a decent effort but not one I'm going repeat. I'm keeping the tools and doo-dahs. They might come in handy.



And we dyed eggs.

I've been so slack about checking in (and it does keep me motivated, but I have been doing some sewing for the last few days. Not having seen more than the first Harry Potter movie, I watched the entire series including Fantastic Beasts while I sewed on a new pale pink linen undergown. It's super basic as it will almost never be seen unless it's blindingly hot and all the wool layers come off.

I'm up to the last bit of the arms and then I'm done.

This is the colour of the linen (complimentary kitty thrown in for cuteness):

They really are, they'll give a lovely splash of colour. My patch of ground might even qualify as a flower bed this year!

It's still pretty, and your eggs are very colourful.

When I was a kid, my school used to have a contest where you had to decorate a hardboiled egg, not just by painting it but by sort of dressing it up. I made my first one a school headmaster, and I remember sticking cottonwool on one and making it into a sheep, but my giant tadpole King of the Eggpoles was my best one. I think I took second place that year. It had a pipecleaner and black crepe paper tail, a little crown, and it was surrounded by little plasticine tadpoles. I even made up a rhyme to go with it.

Sometimes the crafting is more important than spending time checking in. Sounds like you've been busy! That's a lovely shade of pink.

Thank you! They are very striking! We put the eggs in the dye and then the boys went out to play and forgot about them so the colours are darker than ususal.

Thanks! The boys put them in the dye and promptly went outside to play and forgot about them. I took advantage of the quiet to fic and let them soak much longer than we usual do. So the colours are darker. .
