Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What kind of crafting supplies can you never resist buying?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Finally got my brain straight and picked up a craft project for the first time in months.

I got some yarn from a friend - left overs from socks he'd made and I started a simple thing. Hoping to make it into a baby blanket for my sister but we'll see.

Without increases will be even better for watching TV.

Glad you felt like making something! I assume you'll end up with a blanket of many colors since it's leftover yarn?

I spent most of the afternoon cracking more walnuts. And got...about 1.75 cups. Luckily I have been able to watch TV recently.

I will probably crochet a little after supper.

Good grief, your fingers must be hurting!

Still with the small progress, as me-time today was mostly spent with writing. But I have sewn on one more felt appliqué and the lace trimmings for another sachet. It's a bit odd and nostalgic using up the lace my Grandma had crocheted back in the 1960s, but at least they are put to good use.

My vest is done!

I’ve also started on my double-knit blanket. Took me all morning yesterday just to cast on. Done about 6 rows so far, slowly starting to get the feel for the process again.

I am feeling much better today and around lunch was finally able to eat some real food. I managed a few rows on my sweater scarf and a row and a bit on my circle shrug, and also finished the other three spiderwebs for the second wristlet. All that's left on the wristlet is the ties and then it's done and ready to send for my sister-in-law for her birthday! I need to make the outfit for the stuffed bunny, and then a new lace bookmark for my mum, who lost the last one I'd made her on her cruise last week. Also I do want to make two more of the cube popup books since I already have paper picked out and measured and cut and folded, but also I took inventory of all of my fancy journals and discovered one that I can turn into a sort of junk journal? Since it was already sort of started as one. I want to fill the journals I have, and I have picked some of the unused ones to be successors for some ongoing journal projects I have, so I am pleased with how things are going so far.

Today I prepped my bag for Lynne's tomorrow and caught up on reading posts here.

I also wrote a very long crafting update on what I've been doing the last couple of months here: https://spiralicious.dreamwidth.org/516500.html

To answer the question, I can't resist crafting supplies, especially pens. Like I just bought a handful of Zebra midliners because I didn't have those colors yet. (They were also half off.)

WELL my parents brought me a huge, huge, CHORE amount of them. So I'll give them away to family as well as keep for my own cooking.
