Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No knitting today, I'm too tired, but I managed three pattern repeats, 24 rows, yesterday and I've started my second ball of yarn.

I'm roughly halfway through my jumper and it's getting too big to take with me so I started a new scarf (yellow green black and white) for when I have to wait and/or want to keep my hands occupied while chatting up with friends.

They do get big and heavy quickly. Good idea to start something more portable for when you're out and about.

Also perhaps one of you lovely people can help me remember something. I was trying to recall an late 2000s/early 2010s crafting newsletter similar to Knitty that was specifically for goth/punk fashion. I can't remember the name! I remember one issue having instructions to make a coffin bag as well as a knitting pattern for a petticoat. I remember the petticoat pattern designer made a joke about petticoats being the perfect thing for a time traveler to wear. Does this ring any bells for anyone? I remember now - it was The AntiCraft! :)

... at least where crafting is concerned. Have I said I wouldn't make any new elephants for a while? Well, I won't - not the big ones anyway. But I still had enough fabric left from Grandma's favourite house-dress for two small ones; that is roughly 40% smaller (and still have enough for two lavender sachets that will eventually be sewn). So, today I cut out the parts for Emma and Lilly, the two very floral, small elephants. A good thing that the dress is now all but used up, or else we'd be overrun by elephants! *g*

Plus I was up late for the Super Bowl, even though I didn't watch to the end, and I was in bed for the entire second half, napping off and on so I saw less of the game than usual.

All I've managed in the last couple of days was a few small tatted butterflies to use up the last of the thread on a bobbin, and a few rows on a crochet placemat.

The tatted butterflies sound pretty! And the placemat is growing, so that's good.

The butterflies are quite simple, but a good way to use the thread left over on a bobbin that can't be used for anything bigger. I keep them and stick them to the inside of greeting cards (along with simple tatted flowers) for a bit of flair sometimes.

OMG, the AntiCraft is such a blast from the past. I was so enamored with their craft difficulty rating system. (I was also fascinated with the multitude of merkins ideas they had, but was never bold enough to make one.)
