Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Coloured in a few more toppers, but it's losing its appeal. The first few were fun, but there are only so many colours that can be used for the various parts of each picture. They're also very small, anywhere between 2.5 and 3 inches across, which makes the colouring fiddly. Still, I've coloured 7 out of the 12 I photographed.


Also knitted 10 rows on an arm warmer while watching strong men lift ridiculous weights =D

I've started on the sides of the basket. It will be wide blocks of color, I've started with a dark teal.

The amaryllis I ordered arrived just now and I potted it up.

I could see losing interest given the colors. Are you planning to finish them?

I can understand why it's losing its appeal. Small, repetitive tasks tend to do that. Still, you've made good progress, and you can always take a break and do something else.

home from spending christmas eve and christmas with my parents \o/ got a big pile of yarn for christmas that I've already started turning into a blanket lol - 10 rows in, it's going faster than I'd expected. looking like it's gonna be lap blanket sized more or less

hedgelog plushy is nearing completion, just have some final assembly to do, but it's gonna be tricky

I'm slowly easing my way back to crafting. Today I've made the pattern for the rag doll. I could have downloaded it for free, but only if I had joined some obscure website. I decided against it. Perhaps I'm paranoid, but I don't like to download things I know nothing about onto my PC. Besides, the pattern is not that complicated. I draw it on checkered paper with the help of a ruler; and free-hand where the bent lines came. I've put together the paper parts, and the result looks promising. I hope it will work with the felt as well.

I've also selected the felts I intend to use, so I'm well prepared for the time when I'll actually start with the whole thing.

I will, at some point, Maybe not all at once, but I can colour one in whenever I feel like it.

It's an insane sport, but gotta admit I always love watching every Christmas. I swear, some of these guys have biceps wider than my skinny little body! It's mind boggling, they could lift me with one finger!

Very true, and some of the designs are less tedious to colour than others. I'll continue to do one occasionally, when I need something relatively mindless.

There's little point in joining a website you might never use again. Plus they all use cookies, and you can do without getting more of those on your computer. I try to clear them off mine every week or so.

Hope the pattern works well with the materials you're using!

Err... I know I'm a techno-wheenie, but how do you clear off cookies?

I think it depends on what browser you use. I can do it on Microsoft edge, but I'm not sure if it works on all browsers. If I have a window open, I right click on the arrow that takes you back to a previous page, select Manage History, which takes me to that page, then click the little dustbin icon that says Delete Browsing History if you hover your cursor over it. Then it's just a case of selecting what you want to delete.

I think in older versions, I had to go to the three little dots in the top righthand corner of the browser window and look through all the options until I found Delete Browsing History, then select what I wanted to delete, usually browsing history, download history, cached images, and cookies. It can sign you out of various sites though, so you need to know your passwords to log back in again.

Half the time you download a simple pattern anyway, and it's just the PDF of the stuff on the screens you already looked at. XD

Look for something like "delete browsing data" in your browser menu. That includes cookies.

Well, a simple pattern would have helped a lot with the measures, but I hope I've produced a working one on my own. *fingers crossed*

Ah, Firefox! I don't use it, but I do have it on my computer.

Open the browser and look at the top righthand corner, there are three short lines, one under another. Click on that, go down to History on the menu and click on that. Then click Clear Recent History. It'll give you some options for what you want to clear. Go for Browsing History, Cookies, and Cache. Select your time range, then just click OK and it will clear all the junk you don't need. I clear my browser history daily, that stuff mounts up. Might make your computer run a bit better. Cookies I clear weekly because having to log in everywhere again can be a pain. It doesn't always log me out of everywhere, but...

Anyway, you should clear everything cookie-wise to start with, and browsing history too, then just keep on top of it by regularly clearing it. You might have to allow certain cookies again, but you can usually reject cookies if they're offered.

mostly black, with a variety of oranges (+ one true red 'cause one of the oranges wasn't near as dark as I was expecting so I'm swapping it out for a skein I had of the same yarn) and a variegated yarn for the border :)

I finished my last batch of cat beds for 2024. I'm going to work on other things until 2025.

I haven't done much/any crafting lately but I got my biannual nerve block injection yesterday and now my dominant hand doesn't hurt nearly as bad, so I should be able to do more crochet!
