Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What's on your holiday wish list this year?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

From my holiday shopping fund, I have ordered a set of star and moon crystal prisms, and a set of metal hippie charms. I already have a strand of rainbow cord. I plan to make another long string of dangles.

So you heroically started sewing up the things? Go you!

11 more cat-in-the-sack gift boxes, the making of which took about 25 seconds each: 10 seconds to fold the boxes, 5 seconds to fill them and 10 seconds to draw the cat faces. But that was all I could squeeze into a day on which I had to bake 5 different kinds of cookies.

Slow work day (there is literally no work to be done so far today) and since I work from home, that means I have free time to do other things. So I scored Nerdopolis, which is a once-a-month thing but takes over an hour to do. Then I worked on mom's wall hanging some, and started a new mini knitted stocking.

Yesterday I made a spreadsheet to figure out how much progress I need on the Christmas gifts each day to finish by the day before the family party. I need to do about 8 rows a day on the wall hangings, and 26 rows on the mini stocking. Eep. But I think I can do it. I hope I can do it!

Switching gears now to work on the crocheted stocking commission. I want to finish mine by this weekend. I've got about 3 inches on the back to do, then it's finishing work. So, doable to finish by weekend, especially since I have all day off job 1 tomorrow due to Stitch Club and knitting class (which is job 2).

Getting the commission finished by the weekend would be helpful. Sounds like a good day overall.

No crafting yet, though I finished some final house siding repair and was able to put that project bucket away in the basement for winter.

I'm cooking dinner now and probably will get some crochet time afterwards.

Right now I am up to 26 different sorts. But I am baking for a dozen or so other families, too.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it.
