Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: What's on your holiday wish list this year?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

A crafty day
While she was working on Mum, I finished the 5th (and now really last) little angel. I think she turned out well enough, even though I accidentally selected a too small wooden bead for her head; that's why I couldn't place her bun correctly:
I also started embroidered card #38; a seemingly simple pattern which I managed to mess up nonetheless and had to undo part of it. So I decided to continue tomorrow as I was too angry with myself. And I managed to make cat-in-the-sack box #41. I hope my fellow choir members will bring me some empty toilet rolls tomorrow because I've run off them and can't make more boxes at the moment.

I really should have worked on the stockings some more but didn't have time and I am EXHAUSTED now because life is very stressful at the moment so I'm off to bed. At least I got SOME crafting done today!

However, Lynne was very feisty today. She got mad when I told her she had to eat breakfast, though she loved her breakfast. She tried to fight me about taking her pills. She got mad at me when I told her that she cannot live alone, even the doctor told her she is not to live alone, after she got done explaining to me that she would be fine alone. She wanted me to fix her heat pump. I examined it and tried to explain to her it's not broken. She refused to believe me, so I explained to her son why it wasn't broken, and taped a note to it's remote control explaining why it's not broken. She also had me fix her little TV, which I have been doing on a quarterly basis for nearly 20 years. It just needs the TV changed to channel 3 for the cable TV to come in.
There was also a bit of arguing about whether or not one of the cats is dead. One of her cats hides, like you might not see her for a week, when Lynne has company, which she did over the weekend. It's worse when there are dogs and Lynne's company brought between 4-6 dogs with them. Lynne claims she hasn't seen the cat for weeks. I reminded her that we both were talking to the cat last Monday when I was over there because she was sleeping in the ink pad drawer, and that I had taken care of both cats Thursday & Friday. Her son also commented that he had seen and interacted with the cat last night. The fact that could not find the cat did not help any of this.
I also designed another Christmas card to make and prepped materials for it. Lynne's son was just a little too helpful. He is also convinced next week we can make both Christmas cards I've already designed. We'll see.
I also managed to finally get my fandomtrees wishlist submitted and posted my dear Yule Goat letter on my journal today. Re: the question, I would like this month to go smoothly and some better yarn storage for the holidays.
I might knit while I watch Midsomer Murders to soothe myself before bed. Hot chocolate is not cutting it.

That was a great deal for the backing fabric!
Stress is exhausting. Sleep well!

Yes, I think this month going smoothly is something we're all wishing for. Not my favourite month of the year, it's always stressful, and I don't even DO much *sigh*
Hope watching TV and knitting proved soothing.
