Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

My arms still ache so only ten rows on the arm warmers.

No gardening either, I'm saving my strength, such as it is, for the log delivery tomorrow. I really need a wheelbarrow. Lugging several hundred logs by hand is no picnic.

managed to irritate my forearms between a whole lot of shoveling and raking and crocheting this past week, so no project updates for today, but I did get some new rocks for my collection in the mail today!

I feel for you. My hands, arms and shoulders are crippling me from sawing the buddleias, but I have a log delivery today and I'll have to move a ton of logs from my driveway around the back of the house by hand because I don't have a wheelbarrow. Fun fun fun. Hope your arms feel better soon.

All my central heating is run off a solid fuel fire, and after spending 9 weeks with no heat I finally managed to get someone to re-line the chimney. The guys said I should try burning wood with the coal, so... logs. This is my third load. They arrived a bit ago and it's taken me an hour and a half to move them. I'm officially done in and by tonight I expect to hardly be able to raise my arms. My legs do not like stairs right now either, they want to give way on ever stair. I'm staying right here at my computer for the foreseeable future. I'm too old for all this lugging of logs. *collapses in an achy heap*

I can recommend a wheelbarrow or better yet, a little garden cart. Money well spent.

blog post and pictures on the newest surcote I've started. I've got a book thing on Thursday night, so I've been sorting things out for that. The venue isn't giving me much time to set up so I'm a bit stressy about that. The silk hood is finished, and there's a picture for that

I intend to get one when I can, but right now where I am, there's just nothing. I used to have a wheelbarrow but it died years ago and I never got around to replacing it because at the the time I didn't need one and had nowhere to put it. Now I DO need one, I can't get one. Isn't that just typical?

It was, and now I have to clean the fire out and shovel coal. Oh joy. I am going to hurt for days.

a chevron amethyst point and sphere, a pyrite sphere, a fluorite sphere, and a purple labradorite palm stone! I've collected rocks since I was tiny (my first school presentation I ever gave was on varieties of rocks) and I've been expanding my collection ever since :)

for my room :) My rock collection is definitely indoor-display only, though I do like the idea of getting some bigger quartz pieces and putting them in the garden!

Apparently I'm not authorised to see your picure =( They sound wonderful. Amethyst is my birthstone. Bet the labradorite palmstone is gorgeous.

I've been collecting rocks and crystals since I was a kid too. My mum also collected them and I inherited her collection when she passed away, but I bought a lot of them for her anyway, including a carnelian pebble that looks like an owl's face. My favourites are the jasper family, especially orbicular jasper.

that sounds like a lovely collection! and yesss I am such a fan of orbicular jasper! I have one little sphere of it that's got a figure eight in a circle exactly like on an eight-ball that looks practically fake and I love it so much.

This is one of mine, in my icon.

I seriously have hundreds of crystals now, mostly tumblestones but some points, spheres, quite a few palmstones, smaller thumbstones, obelisks, and wands, and some raw pieces. I also have a turquoise nugget the size of a fist and a massive speckled jasper the same size. I love my crystals!

They're fabulous! I especially love the labradorite. I have one with an orange flash that's pretty spectacular but they're so hard to photograph.
