Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What piece of advice would you give someone interested in trying your favourite craft?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Small steps count as progress, too. Just be careful with that finger!

Me-time was spent writing today. The little angel had to wait.

91/119 rows done on the baby blanket!

I probably should've mentioned over the weekend but the migraine is lingering and I'm blaming everything on that - I've been having a storage clear-out and rearrangement of the flat, and in doing so I freed up an extra storage box. I've been using a large plastic bin for craft stuff, and I used the extra storage box to split the stash between things for current projects and things I'm keeping just in case they're useful in the future. Much more manageable now!

I think I am going to tea dye some more paper for my junk journaling this week. I really like the effect of tea dying graph paper. I wonder if anyone else has tried dye paper and what they think of it. I haven't tried coffee dye or avocado skins or anything else.

Un-docking! :)

I am so envious: an EXTRA STORAGE BOX! *grabby hands* Sorry about the migraines. Those are awful.

Ha! I envision a little angel waiting patiently over your left shoulder while you type. :)

Another 30 min of crocheting. I am still getting faster. Also still working on the gauge. At this speed, probably another 1.5 hours of crocheting.

Uni starts again this Tuesday, we shall see how often I get to crochet now.

Oh, and I don't know if I mentioned it yet but on Sunday, I crafted for another 45 min and decorated 12 more envelopes, yay!

Great gardening progress and yay on the arm warmer! Is it finished by now? That would be exciting. Seems your finger is back in business by now, phew!

Enormously. I've struggled with writer's block for *years*, literally, so it's such a relief that I seem to be doing it easier now. *knocks on wood*

Actually, she was leaning against my monitor and giving me beseeching looks from her mismatched eyes.

Love your icon, BTW.

I saw tutorials on YouTube, but one never knows if things work out the same way in real life.

Good luck with the uni. What theme do those envelopes have?

Poor you, I hope you'll feel much better, soon. Getting your supplies organized is good for future crafting; one can never have enough storage space.

I wasn't sure how it would turn out either, but I like it (for the projects I am working on) and the second batch I tried other kinds of paper (paper doilies and graph paper) and I really like the effect on the graph paper.
