Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What piece of advice would you give someone interested in trying your favourite craft?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Small blessings are blessings, too, right? I hope the finger heals steadily.

I'm working on a card with a little angel right now. Did the head and half the dress; not happy with the face, but it will do. I'm currently gathering my strength to attack the long-overdue Christmas quiet book that has been in the works for the last two years. Actually, the pages are finished and seamed, but the worst part is still waiting for me: the binding of the book.

Tried snowflakes today. Gave up on the first one I tried. Tried a different one. Might work, but gave up again because my hook is too small for this thread and keeps splitting the thread, sigh. Ah well. Will buy a new hook on Monday and try again.

In the meantime, I have Start-itis. I bought yarn today to make this wall hanging for my sisters and mom for Christmas this year: Cozy Pines Wall Hanging

I want to start it! But I need to do the Santa stockings first! AND finish last year's Christmas present for younger sister and mom (I was making them poinsettia plants, ran out of time before the holiday so didn't finish). But.... LOOK AT THAT WALL HANGING, ISN'T IT DARLING? I soooo want to do it! Alas. I will be good and work on the stockings some more.

And I did work on the stockings, for 35 minutes. Not much but hey, it's SOME progress. The end of the first one is in sight. Still a bit more to do on it, but I am closer to being done than I am to starting it, so I can feel the finish line approaching. Just, really not looking forward to making FOUR more of them.

That I do indeed. But needs must as we all know. And I really want that book out of my hair. Two years are a ridiculously long time!

Unfinished projects are so frustrating, especially when someone is suffering from startitis. (Don't I know the feeling!)

Good luck with finishing at least some of them, soon.
