Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What piece of advice would you give someone interested in trying your favourite craft?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I worked a bit on my next card, a relatively easy snowman one (which doesn't mean I haven't made any mistakes, but at least they are not obvious).

Sounds like a hard day. Let's hope tomorrow you get to do some crafting. It's balm for the soul.

No crafting today but I just put in a loaf of potato bread in the oven. I started it yesterday & I should get 2 loaves out of it. Fingers crossed it comes out well.

27 are finished so far. Aside from a lot of other things like teddy bear keyrings, little purses and the likes.

Sheesh. That is cold for so soon. The dog and I were grumbling about it being 55F overnight.

That is a lot of progress. How many are you going for?

That sounds nice!

I've sat down to work on the same single trivet, that I haven't even touched in what feels like ages.

It's been weird here. We keep catching colds. Husband has bronchitis now. Then Wednesday at 1am a guy was speeding in our neighborhood, lost control and smashed into my husband's car. Driver was unharmed. And at least he has insurance.

I have no declared goal. I'll make them as long as I enjoy the work, and when it becomes tedious I'll stop.

Here is to hope that you'll see luckier times, soon.

That is such a good way of working! I need to remind myself of it, because I've been some grumpy about some of my projects lately.

Yay for the time/energy to work on craft.

Boo on the rest of it. May things improve from here.

I ended up sitting in an online chat and crafting for about an hour last night. I didn't keep track of how much progress, but I finished a square and started a new one. I reckon this one will be the last of this ball of yarn, and I'll have to go and find another.

I finished frogging the first try but the wavy scarf is on indefinite hold as I have ran out of purple yarn and I can only get this particular shade when I visit my parents. (Oops. When are the next holidays, again?)
So I've started yet another scarf, mostly yellow and with a little rainbow pattern. Geometry and maths will be involved again!

I know the feeling. I always start too many projects, some of them with actual deadlines, and then it's sooo stressful to get everything done in time. :(

Potato bread update. I let it proof for about 2 hours before preheating the oven & baking it. It's very tasty! We had sandwiches with it for dinner. And I have another loaf of dough in the fridge. :)
