Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another 2.5 hours outside battling the fuzzy honeysuckle. Not sure who's winning so far. I've been yanking on thick, rooted stems, pulling up yards that have buried themselves in the edge of the lawn. I think the flooding over winter encouraged a growth spurt.


More progress on the cross stitch, it's coming along nicely.

Finished all the prep work and will be able to start painting the porch railing tomorrow.

This morning I worked on the flowerbed out by the road. The mint plants needed cut back, so it was very nicely scented yardwork.

There's a bunch of sweet autumn clematis around my yard. It's hard to get rid of entirely but you can rip up what's currently growing.

Clematis are lovely! This stuff has really dug itself in. It's a tug of war that I only win about 50% of the time. It is tenacious.

Worked a bit on the last pot holder: two rows of stitches of the quilting part. I'd have managed more, but I had to mend a towel the end of which I had mistakenly unravel. *sigh*

I'm only doing the white trim. It's the railings etc that are so much worse shape than the main body of the house.

I finished binding off the shawl that I have been working on! Now I need to weave in the ends and block it.

I can weave in the ends easily enough but finding somewhere to block it out of the way is going to be a bit of a pain.

Congratulations! But yes, finding somewhere to block a huge shawl will not be easy. Good luck!
