Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

It's been a gloriously warm sunny day, probably all the summer we'll get, so I got 2.5 hours outside trying to unearth the path. I have a kind of honeysuckle with fuzzy stems that's rooted itself everywhere. It's such a tangle, all through the shrubs.


Also made progress on the cross stitch. Not as much as I would have liked, but the outer section in complete.

Vining plants take a lot of work! I'm glad you had so much time.

I haven't had time for crochet. I am spending a lot of time on yardwork (hedge needed trimmed already).

Today I was fixin holes in the porch spindles with wood epoxy. I finished that and meant to do smaller bits with a less hardcore patching putty, only to find the brand new jar was solid all the way through!

After all the garden work, I'm surprised you still had energy for stitching.

Finally some progress!

Not really much, but after the days I've just had it's a shimmer of hope anyway. I've started the last pot holder (the very one I had first sewn together inside out and had to undo completely), and I hope this time I'll get it right. A friend visited today and took one of the finished one with her, she liked them so much. So there is hope that the rest of them might sell eventually. :)

Crochet will have to wait while you try to keep up with outside chores!

Well, that sucks! I hope you can get a refund.

Well done for managing a bit of crafting after all the recent hard work. And it's good that someone likes your pot holders. I'm sure the others will sell.

Stitching was the only thing I DID have energy for!

I just hope I can continue the job in the coming days. The problem is, I grew this plant, several of them, nearly 20 years ago. They were in pots, on the path, and they sort of got left there... That section of path hasn't been cleared since, and the vines have taken over. I don't want to kill the plant, so I need to carefully remove sections, and hopefully find if it has rooted on the banking so I can dispose of the parts rooted into the path and the lawn. I might try to pot up some rooted pieces, just in case.

I hope so too. Husband was going to grab a fresh jar but they were out.

Maybe the whole batch was faulty and had to be withdrawn. Not good.
