Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I got about 90 minutes outside today before rain drove me indoors. I was dealing with rose briars, brambles, and holly so it was a bit hazardous, but I'm making gradual progress. I'm a bit limited because the brambles are bearing fruit, and I want to leave the blackberries to ripen. I might as well get something good from them.


The cross stitch is also progressing slowly. Didn't get as much done on that this evening as I'd hoped because it's so overcast and rainy out the light wasn't very good, but it's starting to take shape.


I stitched a bit last night, but had a frustrating time trying to thread my needle. I kept getting the thread in, using my needle threader, but it seemed to just slip out again. After the third fail, I examined my needle and found the eye had split at the top. Had to get out another needle. After that, things went better.

Threading a needle is always an adventurous thing. :)

I've finished pot holder #6. One more to go - boy, am I gonna be happy when this project is over! Around the end of something this big I always get frustrated and bored.

It is still hot like hell over here. Too bad excess body fat won't melt through one's pores.

So sorry you're still suffering through the heatwave. But well done on finishing another pot holder!

I know what you mean. Starting a project is fun, but when it drags on, enthusiasm fades.

But usually if you get the thread in, it can't escape. Extra holes in needles are not good.
