Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I did manage to finish my sheepdog puppy last night AND start the next sheep. Just as well, because I spent some time this morning and a couple of hours this afternoon working in the garden. I made noticeable progress, even though it's only one small part of the garden, and I'm hoping to make more progress tomorrow, if the weather continues to be kind. The house is starting to feel less cold, which is also good.


I also managed to fit in about 90 minutes cross stitching after I came back indoors. Once again, I have a headless sheep, but I hope I can finish this one while watching TV. That will leave me with just four more to stitch.

Yay, I've finished my songbook! Only took me a year or so. The pictures can be seen here. Alas, Pinterest can't deal with such wide ones and cut off the outer edges, but you can still see what the individual pages are like.

I have found two small balls of yarn that can be used to finish the crochet blanket I accidentally found myself playing yarn chicken on. I've added about 20 stitches, but that is more than zero, so I'm taking the win.

I've also identified a few balls of yarn I'm not going to use, and passed those to someone who can rehome them.

No crafting today. Just lots of chores and errands and stuffy mildly uncomfortable heat, oh, and work.

On the fun side, my time here at Charlie & Mimi's playhouse has been extended.

I was briefly home to get some supplies. I did not see the knitting kit. I did see what looked like one of those plastic zippered bags bedding comes in sometimes full of yarn balls in various shades of off white.

My mother picked up a chair from where I work that needs repairs made to the wood and reupholstered. I am wondering how long until I get pulled into helping with that.

As I said in the previous check-in post before this one was open, yesterday I shopped for stationery and envelope decoration supplies. None of which I need but I can't wait to use then in my penpal letters!

Later on Friday, I did manage to start and finish a letter and thus used up one of my envelopes. Yay!

Now I really need to stop buying penpalling supplies, though. I am running out of space!

I'm currently looking for a pattern to get back into crochet or knitting and then the yarn to go with it. With this new-ish hobby I really have to stay disciplined and only buy supplies as I need them. That us gonna be a challenge! Let me know if you have any tips for that :-)
