Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No gardening today, it was too cold out. Probably. I didn't go outside to make sure. It looked cold. Most likely it was warmer outside than indoors, but I opted to huddle inside wrapped in blankets.


I've stitched most of the shadows on the second pressed flower design, and both stalks and leaves. Just got the flowers themselves to stitch now. Hoping to stitch a bit more while watching TV.

The fun thing is, sometimes it's really warmer outside than indoors; that's when I overdress when making a food run and get home totally drenched. :(

I was grocery shopping in the morning and then slept over two hours in the afternoon - still floored from yesterday's cleaning frenzy. But I did select some fabric for the planned lavender satchels, so there's that at least.

Today I mowed the yard. Usually I break it up into 2 parts, but went ahead and did all.

I have the mini Yip Yip ready to work on now that I've rested, but just realized it is nearly time to eat. I'll wait until after dinner.

It can often be the case. Mind you, right now everywhere is warmer than my house. The colder than usual June weather has sucked out what little warmth was in here.

They are, the colour almost matches the background. I did a bit wrong, but luckily it was the last few stitches so I was able to undo it.

Not much today because I was helping mom and sister at their garage sale, but once I was home I wound one skein of yarn and cast on for Luftslott, which I'm making to hide my shoulders when I wear Plumeria. I'm a bit worried my yarn might be slightly itchy/too warm; I don't have any income right now so I tried to keep my expenses low, and thus bought an alpaca / Peruvian wool mix, which was about the cheapest "luxury" yarn I felt comfortable spending on. I'm kind of wondering if I should have just bit the bullet and gotten merino. Oh well, I can always remake this later in a more palatable yarn if this one doesn't work out well.

I'm freezing indoors because it's so cold, but stitching helps me keep warmish. Temps are set to drop further though. This is summer in England *sigh*

I use my heater inside very sparingly to keep the bills down, but I do like to sew on the xouch with a rug and hot water bottle.

I'm trying not to use the heater, I have more money going out than coming in these days, so I'm wrapped in several blankets and so far managing not to resort to a hot water bottle. It's summer dammit!
