Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Went to the bank to get some money, was standing there several minutes before remembering I had to put my pin number in. Then I couldn't remember anything but my phone number. Eventually did remember, got money, went shopping, which went mostly okay.
The bakery only had one last bag of the bread rolls I like, but that was okay. But my shoelaces came undone twice. I paid for my oat milk in the supermarket then promptly dropped it, and when I got home and was getting changed to clean out the fire, I pulled one of the buttons off my blouse. To cap it all, the car was making weird clonking noises, so after I dropped the shopping home, I drove to my local garage. The exhaust has come off. So then I had to leave the car walk home, but the craft shop was on the way so I stopped there, 75% off everything! They're closed all week *sigh*
On the bright side, I got quite a haul in one of the charity shops. A pack of A4 glitter card, one of plain card in pretty colours, two pads of 8 x 8 inch patterned mirror card, 8 packs of Christmas Card embellishments, a pad of Under the Sea themed patterned papers, a border punch, brand new still in its packet, and a box of fancy papers, cream pearlescent, and red & gold in various patterns. So that made up for all the disasters. I'm done in though, it's been a looooooong day!

Today, I sewed the slipper together. It was in the right proportions, it looked like a slipper, and it was to the exact size my mother asked me to make. She then complained it was too big. Cue the gremlin screaming - which I kept all on the inside.
My mother is convinced she can take the earlier monstrosity and the current slipper and turn them into a pair of slippers with some creative sewing. I have given a giant middle finger to the entire project and am back working on my hats. I've just finished the cuff on the one I was working on and am now working on the body.

It's a stressful time of year, you don't need more stress from the things you should be able to relax and enjoy.
