Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Today was baking day again. I'm up to 24 different kinds of cookies. Some of the recipients have already provided the tin cookie boxes, so tomorrow will be boxing day in our house... literally. *g*

Crafting-wise I worked a tiny bit on the Christmas felt book - just a few stitches on a Christmas tree, really - and made another surprise box.

Indeed, straight is for machines, not for artisans!

Yes, it is cute. And I wouldn't have noticed crooked pieces without being told!

Wow almost done baking?!

I'm surprised you feel like crafting with all the cooking.

Holiday visit with in-laws went well. They've gone home now, and the weather is decent, so I spent a chunk of the afternoon prepping the garage further for paint. I was going to do more but could not find NAILS. Where has he put them? How can I find zero appropriate nails in the shop?

May sit down with the placemats project now that I've had dinner.

It was nice to do something else for a few minutes. :)

I agree, a bit of crafting might help to shut out the problem for a short while.

It was just a few stitches in front of the telly; a welcome break, actually.

I'm knitting baby hats for my a friend who's due soon - which reminded me I was going to make a couple for another friend who had twins recently - I finished the first one today!

I'm going to have him find them when he gets home. My goal is to finish the tiny repairs I can do alone tomorrow.

I managed to fit in some crafting today around my studying, hooray! One of the crafting things I'm doing is a double-knitting project: a QR code for a Nerdopolis challenge. I calculated that if I do about 2 rows a day, I can finish it by end of month. I'm currently mid row 3 of 58. So, a little behind but still doable, I think.

I'm also working on a crochet project that is a secret, and got 2 rows done on that today, so that's good. Aiming to finish by Christmas, if not before.

Tomorrow is Stitch Club, and I'm thinking of just bringing that hoodie I tried crocheting and working on frogging it. My current "must do" projects are all too complicated for Stitch Club, so...yeah, frogging it is!
