Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

That's pretty good progress. Red sounds especially good to me, it's so dark and chilly here.

I baked the two cookies doughs I made the other day. Everything is ready for the in-laws to visit tomorrow.

Almost done with placemat #3.

I worked on my shawl today a bit while watching TV.

I wore my new hat out while walking to get breakfast. It was nice and warm. :)

Another glut of photos posted up with words mostly needing to be added. Craft-wise, I did some dying of the pale gold silk kirtle to a really pretty brown, I'm powering away at the red silk kirtle which I want to wear next week and I got to see the Blue surcote the the crowned A in use which received a lot of very nice compliments (and was finished only hours before I left for the event.) I made calendars which I'm delighted with.

Lots of xmassy things achieved, and yesterday I played Victorian maid for the museum's Very Victorian High tea which was quite something. I still need to take more photos of my craft stall table so I can see what fits on it as a bit of a trial run before next week.

We had freezing fog in the morning that burned off when the sun came out. Ugh.

After I'm done with the holiday crafting I definitely need another pair or two of arm warmers.

I somehow managed to burn my upper arm on the edge of a tray. I'm not sure how. Rushing, I guess!

Husband came home from work last night and taste-tested. He was making happy noises so they pass!

I'm afraid I haven't posted any pictures yet. I'll post one of the whole collection.

It happens. Once I burned my wrist terribly, automatically trying to catch a dropping tin. I had an open wound for weeks.

Oh gosh! Mine is nowhere near that bad, though a worse burn than I've done in a long time.
