Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Card and gift were delivered to the birthday girl this morning, so that's done.


Chapter 1 of the spook_me story is posted and chapter 2 edited — I'd hoped to work on chapter 3 as well, but not so far.


My bed is covered in meeces. I've picked out 50 of the larger ones and 30 minis, not sure whether or not to put them in bags because I'm probably setting up in the garage to keep out of the rain which means they shouldn't get wet... Tough decisions. Do I have enough small freezer bags?

That sounds a bit disturbing, even though I know they are of the knitted sort. *g*

You've done a lot for just one day.

If they aren't in the danger of getting wet, you don't really need to put them in bags, do you?

I've finished the two felt baubles that had been waiting for their hangings all week; and I've made the front panels of all four Heineken Santas (I call them that because they are based on five-pointed red felt stars). I even completed one of those. They'll look very nice on our tree.

Not much else got done today; these small details required a lot of fussy work, and there was crap telly to watch as well. Quiet days can be very relaxing.

Looking forward to seeing the Santa baubles, they sound fun.

It wasn't completely covered anyway, the meeces were being very orderly, sitting in rows.

I bagged them up anyway, because if it's raining and they get put in the kids' candy baskets they might still get wet. Plus I still had the pumpkins from last year in bags, so I thought I'd be consistent with the knitted items.

I have a fake spider web made of white cords that I want to put up with the spiders hanging on it, just not sure how that will work.

I hope so. I'm worried it will be dark in the garage even with the Halloween lights.

Hope you figure out how to hang it. So far all my solutions have been old wire hangers!

Today I did yard work - which included the first batch of raking leaves. They are all wet and clearing the road gutter was a pain.

Also worked on some house paint colors stuff.

I've been resting while looking at crochet patterns. I have picked a crochet snowflake to try out for my holiday cards this year.

I don't have any of those left, but hopefully I can find enough anchor points in the garage to put the web up.

Wet leaves are a menace. Surprisingly few have fallen here so far. Last year it took ages to sweep hte driveway, Right now I could do in two minutes.

Hope your making progress with the paint colours.

That does sound relaxing. Crocheted snowflakes will look lovely.

Finished my spook me submission very late last night so feeling pretty wiped out now. Not convinced it was my best work and didn't even have time to do a full proof read but oh well, it's done on the deadline after eight long weeks at it.
Strangely now that I don't have it hanging over me, I am less enthusiastic about crafting, which has been my go to procrastination device this whole time. Sigh.

Congrats on your spook_me, it's HUGE! Mine is basically finished (only got one of the two written), but only the first chapter is up as I'm still editing the rest. You can still proof read and make changes now it's posted if you want to.

You're a bit burnt out, so take a break, read, relax, sit in the garden ands watch the flowers grow, and come back fresh when you've recovered.

I've decided he has to go out driving with me and look at other houses. I think a big part of the problem is he can't visualize, even though he made a colorable file of our house.
