Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

I have completed the stitching for the card! Now I just have to MAKE the card... I've dug out some peel-off that should work, although I might look at some other embellishments, self-adhesive gems, or little flowers... I won't have time for card making tomorrow though, as I have logs being delivered in the morning so my writing time will probably end up being mid-afternoon, when I usually do crafting.

Oh, this is very beautiful! And I think in this case less is more; too many embellishments would take attention away from the wonderful stitching.

Another three mini sewing kits finished; one more to go. I had very little time for crafting today - too many other things to do. But I'm content with my progress.

Thank you! I won't go over the top with embellishments, but there needs to be something to break up the expanse of white that's the only card blank I've got that's easily accessible and big enough for the stitching. I don't have time to make something from scratch, or to make a frame for the stitching, so I'll have to just fray the edges, maybe see if there's a coloured paper I can put underneath...

The month is going too fast!

Today, I set up to write and decorate, but didn't do hardly any of either. I did catch up on a couple other things that were bugging me, but they didn't make a visible difference so it's hard to feel like I did much. But I also bought a couple pumpkins - a midsized orange carving pumpkin and a blue doll pumpkin. I've got a thing for blue pumpkins. And I managed to score a boo-bucket at McDonald's. I got the purple vampire one. Not exactly crafty but fun.

Yesterday, 5 hours after the appointment started, we have a functioning landline once again! (It was very much their fault and the tech was appalled it took two weeks for them to send him a repair ticket.)

Then, after a much needed nap, I knitted on the current mitten. It looks really good, but I think I am going to end up frogging it. The stitches are tighter than they should be, so it's not as stretchy as it should be. The longer it gets though, the stretchier it's getting, so I'm waiting until it's to size to decide. It's good practice and I'm not upset about it.

Cool pumpkins! And yay for working phone, though it's really ridiculous it took them so long to fix it.

Hopefully the mitten will be just fine. You don't want it too loose because loose mittens are draughty and fall off.
