Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Went through all the books in the cupboard yet again and I now have another 19 to get rid of. Yay!


Then I spent some time looking through cross stitch magazines. Lots of designs I want to stitch, but nothing suitable for my neighbour's 90th. Everything I like would take more time than I've got.

No crochet today (best friend family reunion followed by watching the rugby).
Yesterday, I tried that whole "crocheting in the lines at Disneyland" thing again, with a smaller skein and it worked much better. Now I just need to pack a second bag so that I can deal better with the blanket I'm making one I've started.

I've made another cherry pit pillow. It seems that my cherry pit reserves would be enough for a fourth one as well. Who'd have thought... I also made another keyring with a mini lavender pillow. Mum went through her desk and dug out anything even vaguely resembling keyrings. Now I have half a box of the things for further use.

I'm mostly looking at flowers. I have some tropical ones that are nice, although quite complicated. I don't want anything too simple or too small, but I don't want anything overcomplicated either.

One more row on the beach cover-up! They're so long and they're taking so much time that I don't think I'm going to finish before we leave, but hopefully there will be opportunities to wear it in the future. In any case, I'm going to try my best to finish it in time but not count on anything.

Thanks. I'm sad to see the departure of some I haven't read, but I'll never manage to read all I've still got, and so many are volume 1 or 2 of a series. I may never find the other volumes so what's the point?

So, I crocheted for THREE HOURS today. O_O I got done the last four rows of the body and the first round of the edging. Was going to do the second round of the edging, but... it requires crocheting FLO in some stitches so you can sew the edges together using the free loops. Well, I went and counted out how many rows to do FLO in, and uh, I knew my row gauge was off, but yikes, the V-neck is waaaaaaay deep on me. So it's in timeout while I sleep on it and decide what to do. I'm tempted to just sew extra rows together and call it a day... it might pull the back hem up a little, but eh, this was meant more of a "wear around the house" hoodie anyway.

Today was similar to yesterday in that I knitted on the drop stitch shawl and the full sized baby blanket while doing research for the same Halloween table, and also had other plans I didn't get to.

Today's issue was a combination of lack of focus and the internet constantly going out, though. Not sure why I couldn't focus on anything, but the internet issue seemed to be at least city wide.

Wow! That's a huge amount of crochet time!

Uh... Not good, but if you can figure out how to fudge it so that it still works for you... If it's only a comfy house hoodie you should be fine. Good luck!

No pattern found so far, so I plan to work on one of the tropical designs that already has a few stitches done while I continue to look through magazines, of which I have hundreds. The tropical design is a fair size, but the beauty is I'm working on 18 count with 1 strand of thread, which means much faster and neater stitching. I'm so slow when I use two strands on 14 count, because the threads always get twisted and it never looks as neat as I'd like.
