Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another day of pouring rain, plus high temperature of 13C =(


I did manage to get 6 spiders done yesterday evening, and another 12 today, so I'm only behind by 2 now, despite battling a headache most of the day.

I'm still not here (I worked 62 hours this week!) but I had that solar system piece in an art show last week! It was pretty cool! And tomorrow I have a booth in an art show at my local library, which will also be cool!

Headaches are so annoying. It's just been ridiculously humid here,even for Kansas in summer.

I took a photo of the headset covers, but then my image holster was acting up. Maybe tomorrow.

Did some craft tidying. I'm feeling meh about bigger projects so I maybe should do a batch of dishcloths. I also went out and marked some plant locations so I won't make any mistakes with fall planting after they die back.

Yay for the art shows! Did the solar system get a lot of attention? Because it should have, it's amazing.

They really are, I can't seem to shift this one today. Might have to switch back to my old glasses for a while until I can get the new ones adjusted.

Small projects can be a blessing at stressful times. And dishcloths are always needed.

I craft without my glasses on and since it's the glasses that seem to be causing the headache, it was quite soothing.

After a way without any crafting (too many housewife-y tasks) and a sleepless night (due to a thunderstorm of epic proportions and a leaking balcony), I did a bit of work on the baby book (deadlines don't care about sleepless nights). Four out of 12 pages are completed, another 6 are half-done, and only two need the full work. *And* the front and back covers; in- and outside. So yeah, still a lot of work. But I'm actually cautiously optimistic.

Or plant something else.too close and then they neither grow well (what I did last fall and the reason for marking).

Yeah, the house projects are taking ages.

Didn't have time for any knitting today, but I started the dye process on an old swimsuit - learning from the matching cover-up, this time I went with a colour remover first. It definitely dulled the bright colours a bit, so I'm hopeful the black dye will take a bit better, but I'm not expecting miracles. We'll see how it shakes out tomorrow!

Yeah, I must do as much as possible in advance because RL doesn't care about my deadlines. *sigh*
The balcony has been an ongoing problem for years. I could have financed a big wedding of the money we spent on it, and it still leaks. :(

Needs must... I have to use the time when household duties don't interfere. They do way too often for my comfort.
