Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

19 spiders completed, 3 more waiting, and I am NEVER going to try to make so many in one day again. More than 4 hours of continuous spider-making is a bit too much.

I finished crocheting the little egg shape that my Pac-Man ghost will sit on and did more of my kajillion loops for my guinea pig fur!

Fortunately, there isn't anything worth watching on the telly on Sundays, so I could work a bit on my songbook in the morning hours. Page 5 is now completed, the only thing I need to make is the finger puppet, and I did some preliminary work on Page 6 as well. I'm beginning to hope that I actually might finish this sucker on time.

I forgot to answer yesterday.
So yesterday I finished the cat's torso. I thought I had more stuffing with me then I actually do so the torso is currently unstuffed and waiting for me to go home from my extended weekend.
I also did an arm and started on a leg.
Today I finished the leg, and stuffed the foot. I also started on the cat's scarf.

Ended up being closer to 5 but I did get a break to do other things after the first 4 and a bit hours. And I made it to 300 spiders, although I still have many more awaiting assembly.

I fixed some laundry bags - the netting kind that one puts bras and delicates into for the washing machine.

That's about as crafty as I'm getting lately. Although I think I'll be giving a few quilts away this week if I can...

It was a foolish decision. I'd only planned on making 15 on Saturday and then another 15 on Sunday, but I ended up making 18 on Saturday and since I've divided all the remaining spider bodies into batches of 10, just doing another 15 or even 17 would have thrown everyone off, so I thought 22 is only 4 more than 18, and I don't have certain chores to do so how hard could it be? Answer: WAY TOO HARD *collapses*

On a brighter note, it did get me to 300 completed spiders...

Still working on my cross stitch little by little.

Mum convinced me to give crochet another go so we spent Sunday afternoon going through all her balls of wool and hooks so I can have a few to dabble with to re-learn the basic stitches before attempting any granny squares. We have enough wool for many, many blankets!! Think it'll take me a while to master it, but we'll see.

In other lovely news, I received an unexpected gift from the sweetest clients who design and handmake collectable bears and other plushies. I just mentioned in passing in an email that I'd seen their latest collection released via our local television shopping channel and that they were all gorgeous but that there was one in particular I nearly bought for myself. Being absolute sweethearts, they sent me one! He's just the most darling thing ever and it absolutely made my day.

I got seriously sidetracked by the cat and almost didn't check in.

A few little things today:
I finished off a kit of valentines that was gifted to me without all of its parts. I made as many as I could and cannibalized the rest of the pieces towards other things.

To do that, there was a hell of a hunt for my missing tape runner, that I didn't know was missing. This prompted a small craft supply cleaning session.

After a nap, I poked at some bullet journal layouts, but made almost no progress - they are functional, not pretty. But that is the important part.

Now, I can't sleep so I started not-a-baby-blanket number 5. I didn't think I could forget how to start one of those or what size needles I had been using, but somehow I did. It's humming along now though.

Lots of interesting crafting going on! Did you find the tape runner?

Good luck with the blanket square. It's surprising how easy it can be to forget needle size and so forth. I did the same when making the smaller meeces, couldn't remember needle size and used the wrong ones so they ended up bigger than I'd intended,=.

I did! Apparently, I only thought I had put all of the holiday card making supplies away. There was a very small paper bag with unfinished tags and my tape runner hiding in plain sight. Which was extra frustrating because I was only looking for the tape runner because my preferred adhesive for the project was nowhere to be found and I found something like 7 tape runner refills before I found the tape runner.

Thanks! Well, at least it's something that happens to all of us.
