Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I finished the final 11 sets of spider legs last night. Yay!


Today I've assembled 5 new spiders complete with eyes, and added eyes to 10 more, bringing the total up to 55. I've also pinned eyes on a load more spiders. Let's see how many I can manage to sew on tonight while watching TV.

Today's achievements have been numerous, but I don't want to spam the comm with a lengthy entry, so the details can be viewed here. I had to work in advance, as I have an appointment with the dentist tomorrow, and that can take all morning... and beyond. *sigh*

I don't actually watch much, I have a 1 hour show every week night, two shows on Thursdays, and at present I rarely watch anything at the weekend. Not even DVDs at the moment. But it does allow for some extra crafting in the evenings. Another 20 spiders have eyes!

It can be good to have a little background noise and entertainment while crafting.

I'm working on a dog draught excluder for one of my coworkers, and I've just had to unravel the head completely because I skipped over some rows on the pattern. D:

It's fine, I can do it over no problem, I just think I'm running out of episodes of the gay mafia show I was watching while I did it!

Oh no, that's so frustrating!

I've cast on the beach cover-up! I've been practising the stitches on scrap yarn, and there was one I never got right but always chalked up to coincidences, so of course, when I first got to it on the actual project, I messed it up again. It was only row 3 so I hadn't even bothered with a lifeline yet. Finally looked up some Youtube videos to see what I was doing wrong and it was very simple and I feel properly foolish :D But! That means hopefully I won't mess it up today. And I'm putting in a lifeline once I finish row 3. (It's currently sitting at 2 - I got right up to 3 again yesterday and went, 'hmm, well that's enough for todayyyyyy' and trotted off.)
