I'm hoping e-cards count as a craft

I love playing with graphics. Most of these are based on my own photographs, heavily manipulated in programs like Photoshop. One is based on a cropped piece of a photo of London I found in a magazine. I make e-cards, headers for my Wordpress blog, icons, and covers for my self-published books but I'm trying, at the moment, to up my skills to a higher level. Will let you know how that goes! Meanwhile, here are some recent cards.

How come I seem to be the only one who can never see your pictures when you post them here? o_O

Hope they're now visible. I always seem to get my access settings wrong. My journal is default f'locked and I can unlock my pics but forget I have to do each one and then save changes. On LJ pics are default public and you can lock them... whatever the status of your journal! Forgive me!!

My planter is still going strong. I emptied the holly from another couple of containers into it and filled up the water level and it is still green and fresh! It's also on our lounge mantelpiece and we have an open fire some nights so I'm not sure how long it will last but there is more holly out in the lane past our house so I can always refresh it!

Thank you! I'm trying to learn about layering, with lots of advice from a couple of friends like brumeier. I find the whole process quite 'therapeutic' - a bit like making actual paper cards.

Those are really cool. You can hardly tell they're only ecards, either. Some of the textures you've used are amazing.

Thank you! The next thing I want to get to grips with is layering and I'm taking a deep breath... Textures and colours are comparatively easy-ish and most sites provide framing options. It's still all quite a steep learning curve but it's quite 'therapeutic' to play with pretty pictures!
