Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.


Today's Question: At the request of new member cora... In light of new members, where are we all in the world? No need for exact locations, just general country is fine! Leaving this question open for a few more days so anyone who hasn't answered it yet still can.

Ten more spiders assembled, and the next ten selected. Stabbed myself at least three times with my needle today, but thankfully didn't draw blood. I don't need bloodstained spiders! Also had my thread break halfway through one spider, which was a nuisance. Luckily I found a small reel of a better white thread to replace the stuff that isn't as good.

I cut out some further background elements for the felt books. But that was about all. I had a somewhat demanding day in other areas.

I started croheting a bow pillow. I only did a few rows. I also did a bit of journaling, which I am behind on.

You're welcome :) No, I went for a dark green and bright yellow.

It was nice, until it started pouring down, but I was under cover so nothing wa ruined. I am glad of the rain though, we really needed it.

And Wednesday will be actually worse, as I have to attend a funeral in the midday heat. But I have high hopes for Thursday.

The trouble with rain is, even when we need it, we either get too much or too little. We needed rain here a few days ago, but it came down so hard and heavy that it flattened everything and the pond overflowed.

I am really happy with it. I wanted a different shade of green, and had my eyes on a colour I wanted, but they only had one skein left and I knew that wasn't enough. The green I did get do match a blanket I have, so it's a good fit.

You're right! Rain, sun, it never comes in the right amount! We got more than expected today, but tomorrow is meant to be sunny again.

I've started on the books several years ago. I love working with felt. It began with small things: keyrings, small purses, needle books, Christmas ornaments and the likes. Then came felt plushies, like teddy bears. And then I landed at the so-called quiet books (destined to keep small children occupied and therefore quiet), and never came away from them.

The great majority of my felt work is documented on my Pinterest board, in case you'd like to see more. :)

:D :D I like sharing too, even if I haven't here I did a post where I shared hobby stuff in my own journal today. It's nice not to just be alone about it.
