Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I went looking for dome hideous lime green yarn that I thought I still had a bit of, but I didn't find it. I did, however, find the black fabric I'd lost so I'll be able to cut out a dozen or so black spider bodies. I intend them to have black bases but bright legs — yellow, shocking pink, red, orange, bright green, purple... I might do a couple that are black all over except for the eyes. Goth spiders *grins*
Also managed to rip a few more CDs, so it's been a busy day. I even pulled up a few weeds this morning, mostly sticky weed and grasses.

You've had a very successful day. Mine was completely craft-less, full of housework and other chores. Such days always leave me slightly depressed...

I think I should be able to cut at least 15 bodies out of the black fabric I've got. It's silky, but I've made spiders from it before.

The shawl is coming along okay. It's hard to say how far long it is because I'm at the point in the instructions where it tells you to repeat the pattern until it's been increased to 290 something stitches a row (which is not helpful). And at some point I made a weird looking mistake on the "spine," but I have no clue what I did or how I would fix it if I ripped back to it. Hopefully, it's just cosmetic.

You would have Goth spiders and Cybergoth spiders :D

Good luck with the shawl, I hope the error won't be noticeable.
That's going to be an awful lot of stitches!
