Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Good news on the crafting front. I've actually found some bells for my Nisser. They're slightly bigger in size than what I've envisioned - I wanted 6mm or 8mm ones, and these are 10mm, I think - but they'll still do. The colours, too, are a bit garish, but I doubt that the Nisser would mind. The price was really good, so I bought two packages on the spot, for further use.

I will... eventually. But first I'll have to build the doors for the already existing ones. So - popsickle work is looming on the horizon. As soon as I've finished the next baby book, that is (which I haven't even started yet).

DONE!

Next up: making Cube Things for the kiddos in my tutoring class. I need to finish my May 23rd, but I'm hoping to finish sooner as I have something else I want to knit this month, and *that* item needs to be done by the 31st.

I did. But a colleague is getting a third grandkid in two months' time (the second one being only days in the coming), so I have to do something about it.

Information about Nisser and their doors can be found here. I'm not sure how authentic it is, though.

Oh, this is lovely! I'd love to have one like this, too! (Not bloody likely, since I don't know how to knit.)
But what are Cube Things?

That's so cute!
Isn't it now? I'm planning to introduce the really young kids of friends and family to the concept, hence the little buggers and the planned doors.

At least they'll each have a playmate of a similar age.
Especially as they're both going to be girls... unless they've been hiding evidence from the ultrasound. *g*

IT'S CROCHET!!! No, seriously - it seems lately I've been more into crocheted clothing than knitted. Not that knitted clothing isn't lovely - it is - but I keep seeing crochet clothing patterns and going "Oh, that's *cute*!". Part of the reason I chose this pattern was because I knew I could make it quickly; I wanted it for the end of the school year. It took me only 8 days.

So yes, a cube, and a rather clever one at that. I wanted to make something at least sorta math-related for my students, and I figured a geometric object fits the bill.

I worked on my bralette today. Still on the main body ribbing portion.

IT'S CROCHET!!!
Doesn't really matter, as I can't crochet, either. *g* Thanks for the link, I've learned something new again. And have I already told you how much I like your icon? Nine is my absolute favourite.

Ribbing is great for that.

That is when I got most of the ribbing done. Now I'm at the next part but I had to put it aside till I gave brain space to work on. I'll probably work on it this weekend.
