Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've been battling a bad headache all day, so even though it's stayed dry (and chilly) all day, no gardening has been done. I did manage a bit of cross stitch, because it's background and all one colour so I didn't need to concentrate too hard, but that was all I did except for some writing earlier in the day.

I had a shitty day, so I took a break from crafting. I hope to pick up my next project around the end of the week... if nothing else gets pear-shaped.

WE HAVE WINDOWS!

(Okay, double-glazed windows; it wasn't cheap, but it weren't ever going to get cheaper and we have the money now, so better to go now than wait.)

So right now (this week) it's all about finishing up the architraves around the windows and sealing things off. And then I'm back to craft projects...

I flew down to my parents for another funeral. This time it's my grandpa. He didn't last very long after grandma passed.

I knit on the plane. I made a small flower from this pinwheel flower pattern. It's free but it is on ravelry. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pinwheel-flowers

I made it with 6 petals in a blue variegated scrap yarn & a white center. I started another one but I'll probably only do 5 petals. I did a few the other day & the 5 petals looked better to me. This is a great project to use up scrap yarn or to make something small in a hurry.

I don't know why today was exhausting, but it was. I've finished not-a-baby-blanket two and started number three, like I am still knitting the border. I will probably knit some more before bed.

After missing two weeks, I met with Lynn for our Monday crafting. She was in a good mood, but everything felt off. We made a couple floral cards from the second to last crafting subscription box she has. It was super simple, which was nice. I also made sure she ate something before I left, as she'd had several dizzy spells in a short period of time and there was some debate if she had eaten that day. Even if she had, it would have been in the morning and it was around 3pm by then.

YAY for new windows! I remember how draughty our old wooden windows were. Double glazed keeps the heat out in summer as well as the draughts.

These new windows are great. We got them years ago, and temperatures within the flat went up 4-5 degrees (Celsius) during winter. Enjoy them!
