Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Well, it was an active day in any case. With necessary activities, I deem.

I decided to add a few more embellishments to the baby books and selected some craft paper for that purpose. Not much, I know, but I was busy with other things.

You're making great progress!

And so, the shrubbery battle begins.

Thinking of what you need to do next and setting up definitely counts.

Good :)

Washed the project basket today. Large amount of dog hair. I've started going through patterns for my next project. I'm going to try out the tapestry doily technique but with one that has a proper chart.

Picked up in the yard a little because I've asked the city to come mark where a utility line runs. We need to fix a fence, and may add a couple more posts.

Sounds like a productive day, well done!

Today I made a spreadsheet to figure out how many rows/rounds of the Woolly Bully Bag I'd need to knit each day to finish by end of month, because it'll be a great project for a Nerdopolis challenge. Answer: 15 rows/rounds. Sounds doable! I have since done today's quota.

I also worked some on the amigurumi, but really, should have done more. I pooped out, partially because I had misplaced my hook and had to clean my room to find it, sigh. There's some downtime before dinner though, so I'll either do more on it now OR I'll score Nerdopolis round 2. Both need doing, so whichever I choose to do will be good.

That is a lot on both!

I'm looking forward to seeing them!

What a cute bag!

Finished my last sampler for last year's class! I had planned to go back to the guinea pigs, but I forgot I signed up for a gift exchange that's due in June or early July, so I need to figure out what my recipient wants and plan my time around that.

God, I hope so! I want them out of my hair!

I'll try to take some decent photos. With emphasis on try. I might be many things, but a good photographer isn't one of those. :(

Prep work is about 80 per cent of the whole thing I'm afraid. But it's fun, too, so it's okay.

True. There are just so many steps in this project. I still have, oh, about 5 or 6 pages that only have a coloured background. Theoretically I could leave them undecorated and the grannies could glue in nice photos of the grandkids, but my professional pride as a paper crafter won't allow me to take the coward's way. *g*

... until one really starts. *g*

You have a lot on your plate! Good luck with finishing your projects in time.

It is a lovely pattern. You did a good job!
A shame that the guinea pigs will have to wait, but deadlines are deadlines. Hopefully you'll get a request that you'll enjoy fulfilling.
