Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Had a log delivery coming today so I got up an hour and a half early to get everything ready, because they usually come early. They didn't arrive until getting on for one in the afternoon, and the price had gone up by £10 *sigh* Then I had to shift all the logs by hand as fast as possible because of the rain and gale force winds (over 50 mph), which took me over an hour, by which time I was totally exhausted, Didn't do my back any good either. Fortunately, while I was moving the logs the rain wasn't too bad so although they're damp they're not sogs.


I have knitted the grand total of one row on my sweater sleeve, was just starting the second row when the logs arrived. Might try to do a few more rows in a bit, but my hands are tired and sore from carrying logs so I doubt I'll do much.

I think I would just rest! Frustrating to wait longer than expected to do that type of work.

Finished my second glove a bit ago! I wrote up how on my journal if anyone is interested.

I started working on the Hello Kitty booklets. My original idea of using paper applications instead of drawing the furniture free hand (I suck at drawing) turned out more work-intensive than originally thought. I've made the "wallpapers" and the "flooring" in all four rooms for one booklet, as well as the window and the curtain in one living room, but that was all how far I got. Meaning that doing the same thing four more times, plus furnishing all rooms will take, well, forever, since we are talking about 12cm by 12 cm surfaces here. The end of June deadline suddenly appears way too close... especially as I still have to do the embellishments for the baby books by the end of April. Argh!!!

They look nice! There was that alien in Star Trek - TNG who wore similar gloves. I always thought they wanted to spare the actor the prosthetics and still give the character a three-fingered hand. *g*

I hand-sewed a seam on one of my english paper pieced stars.

It was a very hard day. Couldn't even have breakfast because I needed to be ready to shift the logs as soon as they were delivered.

I did end up with 8 rows. One is such a lonely number.

That sounds like a lot of work, but the first one is usually the hardest as you figure out how to do things. Hopefully the rest will be a little easier.

Me, too. But I'm not good enough at drawing to do it free-hand, so it's templates and glue if I want them to look neat. And I do.

It poured during the morning, so maybe it's a good thing my delivery was later, but it's really done me in. I'm too old for lugging logs.
