Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Taking a break from knitting today, my back is hurting and I have a load of logs being delivered on Monday so I need to be in a fit state for moving them, especially as Monday's forecast is for rain and strong winds.

I've managed to bind Baby Book #3, with just one minor mistake: I had to extend the inner binding because of not having measured it correctly. But that was easily done, and I wrestled the pages into obedience. Book #3 is now resting and waiting for the glue to harden. I hope to find it still in one piece tomorrow morning, but with my luck lately I don't dare to be overly optimistic.

Well done! Here's hoping the glue will set firmly and you'll be able to continue without any more mishaps.

As there are only small embellishments left, which I can do one by one in-between, I decided to take a break from the baby books and perhaps work a bit on the Hello Kitty! booklets as a reward. *g*

I finally did the neckline on the silk gowne, so it's got it's reinforcing strip and has two eyelets sewn for a brooch pin. Very happy with that. The sleeves are too long and wide, so they need to be resewn from the elbows down.

Definitely not fun with a hurting back. Moving the logs won't be fun either, takes me at least an hour and a half on a good day. They're heavy and can only be moved a few at a time.

This makes me realize how spoiled I am with our central heating. I'll think of you next time it acts up a bit and stop complaining.

Yes, I'm hoping it will change to something better by then, and that I'll be mobile enough to shift all the logs.

My central heating runs off the fire and I'm stuck with it because I can't afford to switch to another kind of heating.

I had frogged the mitten I made recently, and my husband suggested trying either mittens where the top folds off, or split mittens. I decided to try split. I like this better than what I made before. Going to make the cuff a little longer and then start the second.

Still working on the doll that is dressed up as a fly. I made two big wings earlier this week. I am mostly done with the two small wings. After this, I need to start working on the body.

It's crochet. It is fingerling weight yarn, so this has taken a long time.
