Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I have cast off the rainbow arm warmer, and tested out my Mighty Sight glasses with the light in them by sewing up the fuchsia arm warmers. I still have three other pairs to sew up, but one a day is plenty.


I have also settled on the patterns for my next sweater. I'm using the basic pattern of a sweater I knitted a while back that I know fits comfortably. That will give me the number of stitches I need and all the shaping. It's crew necked, drop shoulders, so about as straightforward as it gets.


Then I'm using another pattern for the lace panels. I'll be doing three panels instead of the five on the original (which would have been way too big for me) and I'll have basic 6 stitch cables between the lace panels... That'll be more or less it. Oh, and I'll be using a lovely plum double knit yarn.

I've finished the cross-grain binding of the quiet book. The last stretch was quite brutal, in some places I had to stitch through seven(!) layers (felt, double-sided tape *and* the cross-grain ribbon), but it is done now. I promised my poor fingers a break tomorrow; the day after I'll start with the spine and the inner binding.

Used up the last of the striped yarn on the cardigan this morning, and it isn't big enough, which I expected. Ordered the same yarn in a medium-dark blue that is either the match for the blue bits in the stripes, or a shade darker. Hard to tell. Probably should have gotten more gray but just don't feel like working plain gray.

Making some dishcloths out of scraps for myself.

Worked on the scarf some more, which is somehow not done yet, and mostly finished decorating my year in pixels/anxiety tracker layout in my bullet journal, both while binging more Hilda.

My bullet journal is Halloween/fall themed, so for the year in pixels/anxiety tracker layout, I filled all the blank space (that isn't the tracker itself) with tiny ghost doodles. Because I want the color focus to be the tracker itself, it's mostly a black and white layout, but I did put a light orange stripe with a Zebra Mildliner through the header and footer to help them stand out a little more.

The reason the decoration isn't done is because every page in my journal has a preprinted date strip that takes up half an inch of the page. I would like to cover those with washi tape and somehow I have no washi tape in my theme or color scheme. Meaning, I am going to need to order some.

Yes, it was brutal. Only paper crafts for a while when this project is finished.

Thanks. The next bit requires careful planning (at which I suck) and the straight cutting of cotton fabric (at which I suck even more). So, the results will be probably a bit... err... lopsided, but no-one has complained so far. Two-year-olds generally ignore those things, fortunately.

Generally, I'm not fond of blue, but in this case I think it'll be definitely better than plain grey. Especially if you do like blue. ;))

Isn't it annoying that one never has the washi tape/paper strips/fabric/buttons/whatever in the exact colour that one would need? No matter how many variations you own, the one you'd need is never among them. At least it's true for me.
