Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Haven't felt great today, so the gifts still haven't been wrapped, although I have found my wrapping paper and made a list of who gets what. Also put the stamps on the posting cards and took them to the postbox this morning. There's one on the corner of my street, so it's less than a minute's walk each way. I'm so lucky!


Also got the second fuchsia arm warmer up to 100 rows. Just got to decide whether or not to do another 10 rows on each. Probably won't, but I can look at them tomorrow and make up my mind.

I forced the family to do a craft hour and we made felt ornaments.

My crafting plans fell flat today - our cleaning lady fell ill and cancelled our appointment, so I had to do the whole cleaning by myself, which ate all morning and set back the healing of my wrenched shoulder. Too bad, I had such nice plans for the early afternoon... only that I was still cleaning at that time. *sigh*

- get my quilts back from the quilter and bind them and gift them to my friends!

I have admitted defeat with learning a to crochet a magic circle, but! I figured out if I do a small little rectangle it does turn into a round coaster.

...I probably won't be able to do it again.

I got the second blanket done and they are mid-blocking? Is that what you call it? Drying, anyway. (I had just started to master embroidery vocab and I had to go pick up a whole new craft with whole new words! Sigh.)

It's been on the list of Things To Do for FOREVER. (At least three years.) So it'll be good to get the quilts done and OUT.

We're down to SINGLE DIGITS with the blanket motifs! Just 9 left! I've slowed down though because I've been distracted, but still making slow progress. I'm pretty sure I can get it done for myself by Christmas Day!

Sadly, our family party scheduled for the 23rd is likely going to be cancelled, because we're supposed to get bad weather and one of my sisters lives an hour and a half away. I'm bummed because I was looking forward to seeing everyone, but this also gives me another two days to try to finish the blanket, so that's nice (I had wanted to finish it for the party).

That's as good a term as any, lol! I don't know if there even is a specific term for that stage of blocking.

Every craft has its own bewildering terminology to learn.

That's a shame about the party, but maybe you can all get together after Christmas if the weather improves.

Surprisingly enough, it isn't. Mum's physiotherapist says moving the sore joint is actually good for it, so I kneaded some yeast dough today... *g*
