I've been thinking of trying to adapt the pumpkin pattern, just making the bodies smaller and flatter. Pipe cleaners might work as legs, but the problem would be attaching them so they don't come off. No need to use black though, the spider bodies would be different colours anyway. I'll have to experiment...
