Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

It's been a wet and blustery day, but that just meant more time for writing and crafting.


11 meeces have been sewn up and stuffed, and two more have been knitted. I still have a lot to do, only 10 have their ears sewn on so far, but I'm getting there. Also, the brooch backs arrived yesterday and they're a much better size.

Well done! The pants look fascinating - quite complicated to get dressed though :) Have to be awake to manage that and not still half asleep. They look good - I wish you luck in finding a fabric that would work for them

I did nothing last night. I'd not been feeling well all day but made it through the day at work and finished late so just switched off in the evening. I had to get some things organised as I'm having some furniture delivered today and get my WFH space set up (I've moved it back up to the bedroom for two reasons - 1. it was in the dining room which is probably the coldest room in the house whereas the bedroom is probably the warmest between heat rising and I've set up at the 'front' where the sun will shine in if there is any - plus if I do have to put the heater on, it's warming it for the evening as well - I feel like this is going to be significant this year *I'm privately celebrating every day I get through without the heating either kicking in or me needing to turn it on!*
2. I'm mostly back in the office so hopefully it won't matter quite so much if I work in the bedroom (when I was here all or most of the time, it didn't seem healthy to work/sleep in the same place all the time).

Well, I'm generally pretty good at being awake once I'm up, so I should be okay. :D

Thanks! Finding something with enough flow but not too light is surprisingly tricky!

My desk is in my bedroom because it's the warmest room, I spend most of my life in here. Going to have to light the fire soon because I'm so cold. Like everyone, worrying about being able to afford it, but I don't enjoy freezing.

It weas, but today is proving less fun, I have to scrub all the fire parts with a wire brush. I've cleaned the inside of the fire as best I can, which took half the morning, and now my hands are black despite wearing two pairs of rubber gloves.

I've also had a few catch-up posts about the parade shield I'm painting which has come to a halt, but here's where I'm at right now. I'm having mixed feelings about how the squirrel is coming along and needed to stop before I became too frustrated.

Looks like it's coming along well! From what I've seen, he designs on shields are always stylised rather than realistic, so it should look great.
