Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Very cold today, but I am undaunted!
5 pairs of meece ears sewn on, another 4 meeces knitted.
My brooch backs have arrived, and they're the wrong size. I knew what I wanted but I ordered the wrong ones *headdesk* They won't go to waste though; I have ideas for some small felt brooches... But, now I have to order more brooch backs.

I had to be housewife-y today because Mum's lady friends came for a visit. So I was baking in the morning. Still, I've made a bit of progress with the quiet book page. The gift boxes now have their sparkly "lids" and ribbons and bows taped on - not sewn on yet, though. But at least the concept itself is taking shape, which is good.

Just a couple more rows on the scarf today - I kept trying to work on it but other things kept coming up so I didn't get any time to just knit.

On grandparent duty today and Mini Hobbit gave me a large ball of yarn which they'd bought in Aldi and thought I would like. No doubt in Mini Hobbit's view it means 'like to knit her something'!

So...I was originally going to hand the quilt over to the person designated to collect quilts from the area for the competition. Set date was Tuesday 27th. Unfortunately, I didn't think I'd finish in time, so I arranged a time on Wednesday 28th. I get the address in the middle of the day after realising I can't remember seeing it anywhere, and have it on my phone.

When I leave the house to deliver the quilt on my way to an event, I also forget my phone. I have no way to call the dropoff person, I can't remember the street name, and I'm late for my event. I go on to the event, knowing that the dropoff person is getting quilts dropped off after me: the friend I got the dropoff address isn't handing hers in until Friday!

Anyway, I get back home to my phone after the event with two missed calls. *sigh* I message the dropoff person with a brief explanation and ask her when's a good time. She specifies an hour this evening. I'm probably going to get a very sharp reception.

I just want to curl up somewhere and sob. It's not just this, it's a lot of other things going on right now and I'm just not up to any of it.
