Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

Note: I'm just jumping in for badly_knitted while she is having computer problems. Therefore the daily check-in posts might lack certain details. Please, bear with me, and happy crafting!

I've folded and stitched together the bodies of 4 more little angels and fitted their wings. Other than that, I did a bit more sorting of my never-ending sequins. Now they are sorted by size but still not by colour. It will take several more attempts. *sigh*

Sorting sequins sounds like a punishment from angry gods, like pushing a boulder up a mountain. :)

It is! Especially these tiny, star-shaped ones that get into everywhere and are so hard to grasp. I'll be picking them out of the carpet for weeks to come yet.

Yay for angels! Ugh for sequin sorting. You will get there though, I have faith!

I managed to get outside today for a bit over an hour, mostly cutting rusting wire mesh out of the hedge. It was sunny when I went out, but the clouds rolled in, getting blacker and blacker, and then the thunder started. I kept working until the first raindrops started to fall. I was indoors by the time the heavens opened. It was a short storm, but very heavy rain so I don't know if I'll be able to do much outside tomorrow. Everything will be wet.

Cutting rusty wire out of the hedge sounds terrible.

It's not so bad, it's just that a lot of stuff has grown through it, which means I could do with more hands than I've got to hold the wire, wire cutters, secateurs, plants... I got quite a bit out, but now I have to clear more undergrowth to get at the next bit.

We've had some of that rain - doesn't last long, but definitely makes its presence felt.

Sounds brutal. You *are* being careful with that rusting wire, aren't you?

Always. But there's a lot of holly around there too so I keep getting prickled by that.

Squished under chores for the past few days. Doc appt today. I got out white and red thread for the heart ornaments just now though. Thinking like peppermint candies.

However - the third window in my bedroom is now finished reglazing! I can clean up in here!

At first I read peppermint candles and was wondering what those might look like. *g*

Only 6 to go on this floor. I really do think the ones in my room were the most damaged of the lot.

That's a lot... Do you think they'll all be done by winter?

I don't really think so, but he's rearranged the list in order of draftiness. On windy days, the bathroom was jets of freezing air around a window that does not even open.

Hopefully that one's been fixed or is the next on the list!

The mermaid cardi is growing, and I've begun knitting an angel (from a kit) and a holly fairy (pattern in my new book). The latter will be for Mini Hobbit, I'm planning on keeping the former for myself.

That holly fairy sounds interesting. I never saw a picture of one.

Lots of knitting going on! Very curious to see how the holly fairy turns out! I cross stitched one years ago as a Christmas card for mum. It took a long time...

I'm hoping the holly fairy won't take that long, so I can do some of the other patterns in my book.
