Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Did some more on the centre opening of the pink kirtle, sewed the neckline, pinned the button reinforcing on the sleeves, became disheartened at exactly how many buttons there will be, went and found the blue, silk kirtle which was on hold and decided because it has infinitely less buttonholes to do that I'll work on that instead. Walked past the Polish Kontuscz a few times and feel guilty I haven't been working on it, so there's that also.

And I treated myself to some specially woven silk fabric for a new project which I wanted to make years ago but the fabric wasn't made, then I missed the first weaving run (because the price is a bit on the exorbitant side) but have finally decided to get. My theory of "The Sooner I Make It The More Wear I Get Which Makes It Better Value Theory" applies very strongly here. There will be posts and photos of all those things later in the week as I get time.

Buttonholes sound daunting, but they'll have to get done eventually. At least you have other projects you can switch to when one gets to be too much.

The silk is gorgeous (I saw the post on your journal earlier), and it's good to get it now before it runs out or the price goes even higher, which it could. You deserve an extravagant treat after Covid and everything.

I second both points. That silk is simply amazing, and you so deserve to have it!
