Introductions...

Hi...🙋🏼‍♀️

I'm [personal profile] but_can_i_be_trusted; you can call me that, Cyberia, or whatever. Whatever works for you; I'm flexible. :)

I don't really consider myself a crafty sort of a person; I'm primarily a writer. But I make beaded jewelry (bracelets, earrings, the occasional ring or necklace).

When I was about fourteen, I was into cross-stitching, but that was ages ago. I've also played with origami, but I only have a few basic items memorized.

Junk journals are also something that really intrigue me. I've been wanting to make one (or a few) for myself for a while, but the binding looks pretty tricky.

No current projects. Not outside of my writing, anyway, lol! But I kinda doubt that falls under the "craft" category. 😉

My other hobbies are helping Mom bake; reading (I can never get enough books); learning more languages than I'll probably ever use; watching classic movies; video games. I also love just spending quality time with my mom and two tabby boys, Sage and Nutmeg. (Hooray for rescue pets!)

I guess that's all I have to say. It's all I can think of saying for now, at least. Nice to meet everyone I haven't interacted with yet!😎

☮💗🦄

Hello and welcome! *grins*

Someday I'd love to see some of your beaded jewellery. I dabble a bit with that myself. Baking I think I would class as an edible craft ;) We do have a baking icon, courtesy of [personal profile] m_findlow, who has created all our lovely icons, so feel free to tell us of the delicious goodies you and your mom bake. Then we can all sit here with our mouths watering!

I've done some origami but the only item I have memorised is a frog that hops, something a friend taught me at school almost 50 years ago!

Hope you'll enjoy seeing all the crafty items on show here. Maybe it'll even give you some ideas to try =D

(Apologies for typos; half the keys on my keyboard are a bit hit and miss these days *sighs*)

Yeah, everything is so strange this year. I'm glad your mom is getting orders though, even if it's fewer than usual.

Hey, that's more than I can make! I have origami books somewhere but I haven't looked at them in forever. Thee's always so much I want to do but never enough time. I could do with forty-eight hour days, but I'd probably fall asleep halfway through anyway.

Hello there! What kind of baking do you do? I'm exclusively into the bread kind, but learning more about the other types is always interesting and a chance to pick up some new knoweledge!

Hello! I recognize your username and know I've seen you around.

Also I've never heard of "junk journals" but as someone who loves journals they sound fascinating, so if you ever decide to make one, I fully support this project.

I'm with you on learning languages I may never use (cue Irish up in here).

Junk journals sound gorgeous. Maybe one day I'll try it.

I also like to bake, but my husband has diabetes so I don't do much anymore. Fresh treats are too tempting! When I bake bread I do a basic recipe, and make it in mini-loaves. That way if he does have a couple slices they are small.

We've experimented a lot but usually ends up not being worth it for him. I am going to try a lower or no sugar cheesecake again this holiday season. The first time we made one we overdid it on the non-sugar sweetener.

Crust of ground pecans is very tasty.

Your beaded jewellery sounds lovely.

I've tried a bit of origami - and in a couple of weeks will be attempting to teach some over Zoom to our Brownies - I foresee a total disaster!
