Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Got the laundry out early, did some writing, then got outside for a bit. I was going to work on the hedge, but I ended up clearing up the fallen laurel leaves again, breaking up a pile of dry twigs, and cutting back some brambles. Wednesday is supposed to be storms, so I wanted to deal with a few things while they were dry. Tomorrow I can potter about in the shade while the laundry finishes airing.

You've been working diligently in recent days. It must have been exhausting. At least things still go well on the writing front.

I decided to make the Three Kings first, and I've made considerable headway. All basic parts are cut out and taped on, and I've even sewn on the crowns of the old king. There will be some more embellishments later, but the pattern is basically done. Now I can turn to the Santas and try to work out a design that is easy and pretty. We'll see. I think I'm working on this project so eagerly because that way I can postpone the binding of the quiet book, which is a stressful things to do. For me, at least.

I don't work hard, I just take things slow and easy, try not to push myself too hard because I suffer if I overdo things. So I'm tired, but not exhausted.

I write every day, have for years. Sometimes it's only been a few words, but it's making it a habit that's important, not how much I write. It sustains me in ways nothing else can.

I'm dog sitting again for a week, so should have plenty of time to work on some projects. Today I am working on that Stephen West shawl I started. I'm at the beginning of section three of five.
