Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The Candy Princess quiet book is making good progress. I've made the page base for Page #7 and cut out assorted parts of the central motif (the mermaid). I hope to finish the whole page by the weekend, and then I'll have one more left before it comes to the dreaded book binding.

There has been rain, so I stayed in. Just as I was shutting my computer down, the heavens opened, so I decided to dig out the books I wanted to get rid of. Opened the cupboard, where a lot of books are stashed — 11 boxes of books, to be exact. The books I was looking for were in the very last box, naturally. I did find some others that can go though, and dug out a few that I'd like to read again. Managed to reduce the number of boxes by one, I guess that's progress.

I did, however, find the rest of my knitting needles. I've got A LOT of knitting needles, all of my late mum's, all of my late aunt's, all the ones I've bought for myself, and a bunch I got cheap at a car boot sale, so I need to sort through them all, pair them up, and see if I really need all of them...

I've started exercising during the time I usually had set aside for knitting, which is good for me, I suppose, though I haven't made any progress on the scarf in a few days. This morning at my writing group's weekly meeting, one of the members shared the gorgeous crochet project they're working on and evangelised crochet to me a bit, so now I have some bookmarks to get me started in crochet eventually. With all the copious free time I apparently have 😂
