Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today has been annoying. I wrote, which was fine, but then... On the inside of my pantry door I have a storage rack. Today, I shut the door a bit too hard and the rack fell off. I had to empty all the shelves, which at least meant I cleared out some out of date stuff, then wrestle it back into place, and then put the good stuff back. Ugh, that was the last thing I needed. I'm on strike for the rest of the day.

I can relate. Today, the plastic container with the cold cuts fell down inside the fridge and landed in the milk pot. The entire fridge was full of spilt milk, it took me forever to clean it out. Also, shame for the good milk. Grrrr!

I had a fairly lazy day. Mostly, I worked on the deep sea page. I've selected a sea-horse for the central motif, as it is also placed vertically and thus can counterbalance the coral. I've stitched along the dratted thing for all morning and part of the afternoon, too, but at least I'm happy with the outcome. Mum likes it, too. Now, on to the other sea creatures!

I'm planning to select a few from these. Not the mermaid, though. It was pain enough to make once; also, this page was for a 20cm by 20cm book, and the current one is 18cm by 18cm. I don't want to make the scene too crowded.

So annoying for you, milk makes a mess and no one wants to waste it.

My rack has six wire shelves and is three feet six inches tall, twenty inches wide, and hooks through brackets over the top of the door. Trying to wrestle it back into place and fix some of the shelves back into the frame almost put my back out. It's heavy, even when it's empty, and I wasn't feeling strong today in the first place.

Hoping to do some pride themed nails tonight after work. I'm on the ace spectrum so I'm thinking I'll do highly sparkly black with a purple accent nail. I don't want to do heavy nail art tonight, though purple and black French tips are appealing.

Hoping to start more of a digital project tonight and get into Planet Zoo. I'd like to finish the tutorials and get started on a zoo. There is a steep learning curve but I really love the design elements of the game.

I never seem to get around to painting nails anymore. I always used to do my toenails. Maybe I'll do that this week. Have fun learning the new game.

Since that was the end of a big project, I devoted this morning to tidying craft stuff. I also took the large nylon project basket I'd been using for the afghan outside and hosed it off, so no dust.

This afternoon I repotted a couple African violets.

I'm trying really hard to make Wednesdays be my "little stuff" day. Monday - Tuesday are my husband's days off and we've usually been working on a house project.

Mine have been a bit ragged since we moved. Trying to turn it around. They don't like change and especially at first I was not taking good care of them.

Well, in the end I chose the jellyfish and the little octopus, but the starfish and the snail house are already done, so it's good.

Your book, your choice, you know what will work best, but that crab and turtle were just so cute!

I did consider them, actually, but it was the size that decided in the end. The page I linked to was 20cm by 20cm. The book I'm working on now is 18cm by 18cm, and the coral and the seahorse take up a lot of space already. So I needed something small that would fit between them without making the entire picture too crowded.
