Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Writing took up most of my time today, but I installed another game onto the old laptop. Zuma. I didn't intend to play it, but it started up so...

It's been years since I last played so I figured I'd be useless, but I've never played better. Stages I always struggled with I flew through. I did lose 2 lives, but I also gained one, so after and hour and a quarter I had to leave the game to get my chores done and I still have two lives left. I'm somewhere on level 5 and still going strong. It's probably beginner's luck, but it was fun. Nerve-wracking, but fun.

I've begun planning out the new quiet book for Elise's third granddaughter, Janka (which is Hungarian for Jeannie, BTW). It will be a tad more girlie than the twin ones I'd just finished yesterday, but not another doll house. The girlie aspect will be shown more in the colours than in the topics.

For those interested in details (and the respective YouTube videos), you are welcome to take a look at the longer report posted to my LJ, since I can't actually make the videos appear on DW. And besides, I don't want to spam this place too much. *g*

I looked, and the ideas are lovely! It'll be very different from the boys' books.

It is the same principle as with fishing. Take someone with you who's even worse at it than you, and your victory is secured. ;))

Let's hope I can make the ideas work, too. I didn't want another doll house book, as I've made one for her cousins, but it ought to show that it was made for a girl.

True, but not on that computer, which hasn't been used in over 10 years. The touchpad on that one is very different from the ones I've been using, a lot clunkier and more awkward to use. I'd been struggling with it while sorting files, but pointing and shooting was surprisingly easy. I can't explain it. Just a fluke. I'll probably never play that well again!

It depends. 18 pieces for the castle puzzle page for sure. Another 18 for the dominoes. If I do the match-the-colour page with the flowers, then there will be buttons instead of velcro, which is less painful. As for the rest - I really have no idea just yet.

I'm mostly over the flu. Just extra tired. I had the afghan in bed with me yesterday and did a row and a half. After I complete the half row, there will be only 8 rows remaining! They are huge but meh.

It warmed up this afternoon. Supposed to be cold tonight, then we will switch back to what should be normal May weather. I went outside for a few minutes to check plants and discovered I can take a non-blurry photo of this rose IF it is shaded by my body. Nothing else, even waiting until nearly sunset, works. The pink overwhelms the camera.

Also this one smells of apples.

Definitely did not have enough black yarn left to do anything more than a very small rectangle 😅 Also entirely messed up casting off somehow and trying to fix it made it worse and I'm simply not in the mood to tangle with it so I've just put it in a box and it will be another day's problem.

I finished basically one-third of my newer project (one of the two people in it is done, so I have to do the other one and then the background). I also got the floss for the project I was taking a break from, and the next stitch for it comes out tomorrow, so that'll be on deck for this weekend.

I also have to finish a bunch of pieces (wash, iron, frame/hoop) and ugggggh. That's my least favorite part, I think.
