Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Ugh, I don't like today. Got a bit of a sore throat but I'll survive.

Worse is that the old laptop I was working with has gone on the blink now *sigh* I was backing things up to DVD rom when it jammed up, the copying stuck at 10 seconds remaining, it wasn't progressing, so I cancelled it, and everything vanished off the screen. The disc was also stuck in the disc drive, which refuses to open. I unplugged, removed the battery, put it back in, started the computer, and it went through the startup routine fine, but still gave me a blank screen, not even the task bar there. I had to pull the battery out again to shut the blasted thing down. I'll have to see if my friend can fix it on Thursday. I don't seem to be having much luck with technology.

No crafting today. Too much else to do. But I did bake a sponge cake, made strawberry jam and went to choir practice. That ought to count some.

I really hope so. I was counting on that computer for playing games since it's an old version of windows compatible with my favourite games. I just needed to back up everything that was already on it.

So now I'm sewing it, I've realised what I've been referring to as the 'top bank' is actually a tree trunk! So progress was made on the tree trunk. I also happened across some more supplies in the bottom of a cupboard where I wasn't expecting to find anything - the thing is this is a set of supplies I couldn't find a couple of months ago and so I couldn't decide whether I'd already sorted through them and disbursed them or perhaps they didn't really exist *sigh* I now need another container to store threads. I also found another unfinished Winnie the Pooh cross stitch.

Oh, we had great fun! One of the choir members brings her 18-month-old to practice, and the boy enjoyed "helping" the piano player. ;))

You'll end up with a complete stitched storybook if you keep up. It could make a wonderful gift for someone. Or does it already have an intended recipient?

More supplies is good, though? Things always turn up when you least expect them to. I imagine you'll take a break before continuing the other Winnie the Pooh cross stitch.

I know what you mean. My geriatric laptop runs (=crawls) on Windows XP, but it is the only one on which I can access my favourite Solitaire games, too.

I used to play a lot of freecell and spider solitaire, but the new version of windows has completely ruined both games so I no longer play. I was looking forward to playing them again, and loading some games I've got on disc as well. New doesn't necessarily mean better.
