Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Spent a couple of hours in the garden again, clearing more brambles and ivy off the roof of the greenhouse. There's still some up there but progress has been made.

Tomorrow is supposed to be considerably cooler so I might stay in and do some crafting instead. I could do with a rest.

I've been knitting a feather-and-fan scarf in a lovely red-purple-orange yarn.... I'm good and ready to *stop* knitting a feather-and-fan scarf, but I don't want to end up with one that's just a bit too short to be what I need. How long do people think a scarf ought to be?

It sounds lovely! But yeah, that's why I don't knit scarves. They go on forever.

Lengthwise, I guess it depends on how many times you want it to wrap around your neck.

I made a bunch of progress (at least by my standards) today!

I haven't fully completed things, but I've made some progress with making scrunchies! I don't usually finish one scrunchie then start on another. Instead, I'll sew them to the point of needing elastic put in and then I'm on to the next one. Rinse and repeat. It may seem odd how I do this, but it works somehow? Lol. It does help, though, to put the elastic in, reinforce it with glue, let the glue dry and then finish the scrunchie.

Is anyone else similar with their crafting?

I like to do things in step too. Get everything to a certain spot, do the next then to the next point, then do the next bit. I think it's easier to, say, do all the gluing at once step, for example.

I think that works really well with smaller items like scrunched. Much less fiddly.

I was the same when I was making knitted mice. Knit some, then sew them up and stuff them, then attach all their ears, then do all their tails, then stitch all the faces. Making things in batches can work really well, especially with the smaller items.

YAY! You've got all the painting done so fast!

It'll probably be an inside week since it'll be chilly out and I have to conserve energy for Friday's trip to get my booster. Still, I got done most of what I needed to, the way is clear now for my neighbours when they want to replace the fence panel damaged by winds a few weeks ago. It conveniently fell down completely last night.

Thankfully, it really is. Although everything can go down the toilet when I arrive at the binding part, so wish me luck!

I have, though it's a delicate process while it's still on the needles. And I suppose it will grow when blocked!

I've taken to folding a scarf in half, wrapping it round, and posting the ends through the loop these days, but I think the feather-and-fan is pretty enough for me to want to wear it flat and show it off!
