Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Sunday nights mean Dancing on Ice on TV, usually a good time for some easy knitting, but I wasn't in the mood and only managed 10 arm warmer rows. I might get a bit more done later once the Superbowl is getting underway, but I might not. I'm tired, my head aches, and the game won't be starting until 11.30 my time. I doubt I'll last to the end. I'm not as young as I used to be.

I did manage to get 5 meeces finished though.

Well done for some progress on the arm warmers and finishing the meece. Hope you enjoyed DOI. Are you watching the figure skating in the Olympics as well?

Thanks, it's always a battle when I have a headache.

DoI was terrific except that the wrong people keep getting voted off while the worst 2 get voted through.

Regan was my top routine this week, despite the stumbles. Such innovative and fitting choreography.

Isn't Connor doing well despite his injuries?

No, I haven't been. I just can't concentrate on TV for long, I get distracted, and my mornings are for chores with afternoons devoted to writing.

I hope it lifts your spirits to be told that your meeces have been much appreciated by my Enting. This weekend we made modular mouse houses with magnatiles (an example of such a couple of posts back on my journal), and this evening after dinner he took the meeces and disappeared into his playroom and they were apparently driving around his excavator with with excited chatter/narrative provided by the Enting.

The Imbolc waistcoat continues, and it’s nice to just be doing some knitting in the round for a while…

I knit some swatches in advance of an interview I have at a yarn store tomorrow, but the stars were not in alignment and I kept making mistakes, so I'm just going to hope for the best. No progress on the socks today, but I will get back to them tomorrow.

There are some people who really need to be voted off now - they might be improving but not as much as they should be at this stage. Connor is doing a fantastic job. I also loved Kimberley and Mark's performance this week.

I've been trying to catch up on the skating at the Olympics this weekend as haven't seen anything at all during the week.

10 rows is better than nothing. I stopped knitting towards the end of Call the Midwife as I was rivetted to the screen (not literally!).

It's almost always the case. I don't think Ashley is helping by saying how much he enjoys watching Bez.

Kimberley amazes me, she's so flexible! That was a remarkable routine, and Mark is one of my favourite Pros, he does some brilliant choreography. A bit more skating practice and it'll be hard to tell which of them is the pro.
