achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: Do you have any crafting goals for this year?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

You've got a good range of projects in the works, something for every mood. I'm sure you'll find a use for the blanket by the time it's done, even if it's as a gift.
Good luck with crocheting a sweater, that sounds quite daunting, but I'm not very good at crochet anyway.
I hear you on the books. I've got literally hundreds lurking unread and I've been trying to read and get rid of some, but it's an uphill battle. Never enough hours in the day.

So glad your dad's Covid scare was negative in the end. That must have been very stressful.
Enjoy your rum balls!
Buying online can be pretty reasonable for cross stitch threads, and since white will always be needed, sometimes it can be worth buying several skeins at once. I did that one time with a pack of black and white DMC skeins, like 10 of each, and saved a bundle despite postage.
That's an awesome picture, but it must have ben a tough puzzle to do...

I just read through the pattern and it looks to be a good one. I see the designer has updated it so it has a gauge listed now - that's crucial if you want a sweater that fits how you expected. Last top I tried crocheting came out far too big because of gauge issues, grr.... Anyway, I have every confidence you can do this! The pattern really does look like it's pretty easy.
