Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Lots of ear sewing today, I think I attached ears to 14 meeces, leaving just 6 to do.

Tomorrow I need to start sorting out the yarn for the tails, but I need to do that in daylight so I can see the colours properly.

Chores and writing for me today. But at least all Christmas gift fics are finished now.

I finished the sleeves for my dad’s sweater this afternoon (I was knitting them two at a time so it felt like they were taking ages but then all of sudden they were both done) and started the front, I’ve done most of the rib so that’s a decent start to it.

Chunky has its advantages.

My aunt once had me knit a cardigan for my uncle in 4-ply. It was a nightmare! Seemed to take forever even though it was pre-computers and I was knitting for hours every day.

Eeep! I've never knit anything bigger than a pair of socks in 4ply and even the thought of knitting a jumper in 4ply gives me the fear!

It certainly wasn't my most fun project ever.

Years ago I knitted a lot of baby clothes in 4ply, and a lacy summer sweater for myself that was very complicated, but a lot more fun to make than the cardigan. A lot depends on the pattern, but I prefer to use DK, it knits up faster.
