It was a bit ambitious to think we might be able to finish it in a day, but at the time I didn't know my neighbour would be out all day today, or that my friend had a dental appointment coming up, because he never tells me anything. Men! It will get done, it'll just take a bit longer. I can at least start painting the outside with wood preserver, make the most of some good weather.
There should be enough yarn to get a reasonable length on the body of the sweater, although probably 2 or 3 inches shorter than I would have preferred. I'll measure the front after I do the next pattern repeat, see how it's looking, then get the back to the same length. Got to decide where to divide for the neck, so I need to calculate the number of rows needed for the shaping, and check up on the shoulder shaping too, because I want to finish with row 12.
